Identity & Belonging

We are shaped not only by what we do, but by the groups we belong to, the stories we inherit and the identities we build over time. High-risk occupational cultures create powerful bonds, shared values and ways of seeing the world that often continue long after service has ended.

This collection explores identity, belonging and what it means to find our place as our lives evolve.

Why this matters

Identity is rarely fixed. Throughout life we move between roles, relationships and communities, carrying parts of ourselves forward while letting others change.

Understanding these transitions can help us navigate change with greater compassion, curiosity and flexibility.
